Forecasting Asset and Portfolio Expected Returns

Many investors continue to anchor their expectations and asset allocation framework on past returns. They fail to fully account for valuations–and buy what is likely expensive, while shunning attractively priced but “scary” assets. To meet their "number," investors and advisors should consider reevaluating their strategic asset allocation, rethinking their risk tolerance—and looking past the usual "destinations" as we believe many bargains exist beyond the mainstream.
