Omid Shakernia is Partner and Head of Research at Research Affiliates. Omid joined Research Affiliates in 2009 and oversees the research team, which is responsible for the quantitative and academic research that underpins the firm's investment strategies.

Prior to joining Research Affiliates, Omid was a senior technical specialist at Northrop Grumman.

Omid received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and PhD degrees in electrical engineering and computer sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Master of Financial Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
