JOHN WEST, CFA

John West is responsible for external communication of the firm’s global tactical asset allocation strategy and managing the firm’s direct relationships with large U.S. plan sponsors and investment consultants.

Previously, John was vice president research and senior consultant at Wurts & Associates, an institutional consultant on the West Coast. At Wurts, he managed the firm’s overall research effort including the development of capital market assumptions, new asset class opinions, alternative investments, portfolio processes, and spending policies. As chair of the Research Committee, he was also responsible for providing strategic guidance to the firm’s Manager Research Group. John also served as the practice leader in foundation and endowment consulting services.

John graduated from the University of Arizona with a BS degree in finance. He is a member of the CFA Society of Los Angeles. He is also a co-author of The Fundamental Index: A Better Way to Invest (Wiley 2008).
