Brett Myers conducts quantitative research applying the Research Affiliates Fundamental Index® methodology to asset classes not currently part of an existing product, as well as enhancing the existing RAFI® methodology. Brett is also responsible for performing portfolio analytics as well as representing the company at conferences or seminars.
Prior to Research Affiliates, Brett was a Teaching Assistant at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and at University of California, Berkeley, in the Masters in Financial Engineering Program. Prior to teaching, Brett worked at Intel Corporation as a Senior Business/Program Analyst, where he designed and developed a forecast planning and analysis tool. Brett has also worked as a Mechanical and Software Engineer/Developer, and was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army Reserve.
Brett received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he conducted research on the effects of the political process on asset pricing and a firm's optimal capital structure.
He received an MBA, Finance emphasis, from Brigham Young University, and has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
