Daniel Harkins oversees compliance and legal issues for Research Affiliates, its subsidiaries, and affiliated entities. Dan is also responsible for investment operations at RA, including managing portfolio accounting and financial reporting, client statements, trade settlement, fund performance, and certain regulatory filings.

Dan has over 30 years of legal and business experience. Dan has served as the chief operating officer for a registered investment advisor and as a senior vice president, general counsel, and chief financial officer for a publicly traded NASD member firm. Dan served as the venue manager for cycling events at the 1984 Olympics and other sporting events, and has won multiple track cycling championships.

Dan is a California attorney and received both his BA and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas. He has held Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
